What Is a Grant Cycle?

A grant cycle is the set period during which:

  1. We accept applications

  2. We review and score proposals

  3. We notify educators

  4. We disburse funds

  5. We collect impact/reporting information

    • Predictable

    • Transparent

    • Easier on your staff/volunteers

    • Easier for teachers to apply

    • Aligned with school-year rhythms

    And it communicates professionalism and structure to donors.

Who Can Apply

Eligible Applicants:

  • PreK–12 educators

  • Public, charter, and nonprofit schools

  • Individual teachers or small teams

Grant Cycle Lengths

ROLLING YEAR‐ROUND / DECISIONS EVERY 2 WEEKS

MICROGRANTS

$250–$1,000

Rolling, rapid-response (7–14 days turnaround)

MAJOR GRANTS

$1,001–$5,000+

2–3 structured cycles per year
